Seminar Goals
- Increase awareness of the structure, capabilities and limitations of social service and health care delivery in New Jersey.
- Experience what it is like to seek the assistance of social service agencies.
- Offer opportunities to think about ways to improve social service delivery.
- Improve understanding of the social and economic realities facing New Jersey cities, as represented for human services by Paterson and for health care by New Brunswick.
- Increase understanding of important health care issues in New Jersey, including low quality of care, fragmentation of planning and regulation, and restricted access for various groups.
- Identify opportunities to improve overall health care in New Jersey.
NOTE: If you are driving directly to the Paterson Museum on Wednesday, March 10, there is limited parking available at the Museum. Overflow parking is available at the Visitor Center across from the Great Falls at the City of Paterson's Great Falls Visitor Center, 65 McBride Avenue Extension in Paterson. The Paterson Museum is a short walk from there. The Visitor Center's telephone number, if needed, is 973.279.9587.
