Suggestions for Team Leaders
Here are some suggestions for your role as team leader- more content facilitator than sheep dog:
- Be familiar with your team's case assignment and how to find your site location. Print out a copy of the assignment and list of team members from the LNJ web site to bring to the seminar. Pick up gift post-it note for your speakers from me before leaving for your site.
- Make sure all your team members are present or accounted for when leaving full class sessions, exiting the bus, etc. Begin sessions with self-introductions all around when you meet your guest speakers/ resource people. Tell them in about a minute what LNJ is, what you've done so far this year, and what you're there for.
- Help the group stay on topic. Focus on questions at the end of your team's assignment from the LNJ web site; encourage all members of your team to participate in the discussion. Sometimes your host or guests will have a different agenda. Do all that you can-politely-to follow the LNJ agenda and assigned questions.
- Keep track of any suggestions for improving the case, or site visit. Note any absent or additional speakers and let me know in writing, please, in the evaluation/forms box.
- Please call me if you need help with any problems that may arise.
- Present wrapped Post-It gifts to speakers and thank them.
Thank YOU!
