Seminar Objectives
  1. Assess strategies for urban economic and community development in Newark and throughout the state, including balance between downtown and neighborhoods.
  2. With Newark as the seminar backdrop, improve understanding of the dynamics of economic development and revitalization in New Jersey's cities and towns.
  3. Explore the views of a range of interests with a stake in urban economic and community development.
  4. Consider how the success of economic development initiatives is evaluated.
  5. Expand Fellows' knowledge and perspective of the city of Newark and the region.
  6. Develop and strengthen relationships between LN and LNJ Fellows.
