Leadership New Jersey is a not-for-profit organization of leaders of the state's major corporations and smaller businesses, nonprofit institutions, government institutions and civic leaders. Incorporated in 1984 as the Partnership for New Jersey and recently reorganized as Leadership New Jersey, its Board of Trustees and staff are committed to act in partnership with government and the independent sector to make New Jersey a better place to live and work. Leadership New Jersey does not lobby and is non-partisan, but it is an active advocate. It does not represent the interest of any particular business, government or non-profit organization. Rather, it endeavors to articulate the enlightened self-interest of leaders of the state's business and civic community. High priority programs of Leadership New Jersey include leadership development, improving public education, and promoting recognition of the value of the state's increasing diversity.
